Does anyone else listen to albums only at a particular time of the year? I only play "and then there were three" by Genesis in December. It's a house rule. I got it in December over 45 winters ago and it reminds me of this season.

45 years ago I was a competition swimmer. In the pool at 6am, back in at 6pm. 5 hard years and I stopped. I wasn't the best in my town let alone my region or country. So hats off to the amazing swimmers at #WorldAquatics2025. Looking forward to the Mens 100m freestyle tomorrow with Matt Richards

Lucky enough to have seen the wonderful @weezer.bsky.social twice. Under the California skies in 2017 in San Diego, and last night under the Yorkshire skies at the amazing #PieceHall in Halifax. Amazing shows in sublime settings.

Indulge me here in some simple calculations. I'm currently in Arrecife capital of #Lanzarote. It's got wind, sun, waves & geothermal but 91% electric is from burning oil. But if just 1 sq mile (out of 326 total land area) were solar panels it would generate 120% of current annual electric demand!

I assume only people over 55 will understand this reference, but I think this why I was drawn to a lifelong career in social housing.
