I'm a recent convert; I knew it but then this summer the Youth theatre group my son's in did a week's run at the Minack. Amazing, don't let 'kids' give the wrong idea, many of them already have professional TV/West End credits and this was Minack's show of the year!

Donnarumma's one of those words that even non Geordies can say in geordie. It has to be us.

As for Gordon. Isak wasn't playing and so we have to manage emotions and not play on the edge making stupid tackles like that. No need at that point in the game.

It's not the point I'm making, he didnt get his feet set to even dive towards the ball. The third was not far beyond him but he had both feet off the ground when he hit it. I don't think he'd have saved it anyway but I'm commenting on fine margins.

I'm afraid Gordon's sending off was brainless....and I'm honestly not convinced by Pope for the first or third - doesn't seem to be getting his feet right to get set to make a save.

But yes, huge heart and spirit all over the pitch

Haha, always happens!

Your defence is going to get murdered by a decent attacking team

Whatever. Tell us about how you've done at holding a two goal lead against 10 men with no strikers

The flick we scored the equaliser from

Apart from that one

Against your dodgy defence with 10 men and no strikers, I doubt it. Got one already though

get that patio weeded before you start on the rewards ;-)

We'll bear that in mind while we're polishing our winners medals. Can you remember what that feels like?

Minor criticism - and not the first time I have thought it - I wonder is Pope's positioning is slightly off. Not laterally, but if he was a yard further off his line the angle he can cover is that bit more. Just a thought.

Fair enough - a team is 10 outfield and a goalkeeper and Raya had one of them days. If one or more had gone in first half, would have been different.
Trouble is - I can imagine Pickford doing the same next week!!

amazing engine, technique, reads the game to constantly be in the right place, defensively and also for the easy out ball...I can't believe how good he is.

"One gets punished for being ignorant of the rules whilst in temporary distress after being fouled"

He and his team mates were anything but ignorant of the rules, that's why they were telling him to roll back onto the pitch.

If that was a cross I'm assuming you called Iwata's goal against us in the FA Cup 'an overhit through ball'. Brilliant vision and execution and entirely deliberate.

Half of me hopes it's because he's still hungover

My late mum's hometown and the first team I saw when my Grandad used to take me to St James's in the late 70s and early 80s. Then 10 years later going regularly as a 20 year old student in the north east. I was born the same year as we last won a major trophy...no wait, that doesn't work any more!!

I had kind of the opposite. Girl next to me at self checkouts buying a meal deal asks if I want to tap my loyalty card to get the points and she gets the cheaper price. Seems fair; I find out later she def got the cheaper price because she paid for it with my saved points. Only £3.60 but still!!

If ever a post conjures up what happened 'Iwata equalises' is up there with the 1969 classic 'Neil Armstrong goes down some steps'
