Suarez on a shorter deal sounds like the type of move they'd do. John Henry has preached forever that long term deals players aged 30+ are bad.

I remember an interview with Armas one time about his hitting approach. His response was "I swing hard in case I hit the ball." For a couple of years he hit it alot.

I was there, 16 years old. Spent many summer evenings at McCoy stadium back then, saw several of his starts. At that point he had almost nothing left in the tank, but willed himself to keep going. Never saw a crowd just rooting for a guy to do well as much as when he pitched for the Pawsox.

Last year Cora wanted someone from the core to step up and be a leader,no one did. Maybe that's reason Bregman was signed. What's Devers going to say anyway at this point? Call out his teammates? Fracture the clubhouse? That's for the manager to address.

I teach in college and get companies who want to sell AI services to build notes and study guides for students. Taking notes, outlining, building study guides is how kids learn and develop their minds.

Microsoft did their own study that shows using AI erodes critical thinking skills. Maybe AI can automate some repetitive skills or write code, but it is not a learning tool, especially for young people. We do a sub optimal job developing critical thinking skills as it is.

We must fight it, but not give ammunition to the MAGAs. Hopefully if it comes to it, the military is disgusted by Hegseth, and local police fed up with the 1/6 pardons, and don't side with Trump.

But isn't that what they want from all this, protests and possible violence? Then he can suspend the constitution and declare martial law.
