What I find interesting is how infrequently we get free kicks in that position. In fact, across the league there are very few free kicks scored (or taken) from that position. Probably related to the preference for 433

If the summer taught us anything it's that CL qualification isn't the panacea. Ultimately it's about £££s. Tino (and others too) will want to earn more, pure and simple. We just need to get comfy with that as fans for a few years and have the right plans in place to replenish the squad #nufc

I think his head had become scrambled tbh

I'd be surprised if Pope isn't back in goal very soon. The upsides of Ramsdale aren't enough to offset the downsides imo

I dropped a right bollock for the City game so I've layered up good and proper this time

Depends what you mean by accurate I guess. At the end of last season I think it had us finishing 2nd or 3rd with 2 games to go...

You're being a little bit unfair to the model there 😊
Low number of data points = likely large movements from anomalous results (eg beating City)

Love this piece @jacobwhitehead.bsky.social. The "chauffeur service" line is 👌. Although "goal hanging" is a bit harsh 😂

It's the lack of appropriate governance that terrifies me

Describing Hall as being "early stages" made me laugh

What an extraordinary comment

From a PSR perspective, whether he plays for the first team or not isn't necessarily important.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see 3 at the back tbh. Hall and Murphy as wing backs

Good read, this. Although the "multiple ins and outs are expected" comment about next summer made me smile. We've heard that quite a few times previously and - for a variety of reasons - it's rarely come to pass

I certainly don't miss the toxicity of the other place. It's a small community here - and largely left-leaning - but it's a place where you can have rational discussions. More media outlets/journalists being here would help although I realise that might dilute some of the other benefits

What a large head @georgecaulkin.bsky.social has

Biggest difference for Sunderland is that we were given 6000 tickets for the cup game
November 12, 2025 at 7:00 AM
You saw that immediately when Hall came on v Brentford
November 11, 2025 at 12:57 PM
I assume you mean CEO and DoF? If so, yes 💯

Agree that getting Tino and Hall back will likely be transformational. And while I agree that Howe has been backed, I'm not sure Wissa is a great example of that. If they'd grasped the nettle sooner with Isak, we probably wouldn't be in the position we are now. That's on the board.

Good balanced piece Luke 👍

Bloke next to me in the Gallowgate did that but was expressing a keenness to "stab the cunt" which was some way short of wholesome
