My father was a WWII POW who I had the privilege of caring for the last 6 years of his life. He was a research scientist and musician (oboe). My mother was a music teacher and polio survivor. I honor them by protesting FOR Democracy.
And continue participating in protests which we can all do anytime and anywhere.

Our America, not Trump's. We the People. We will not give up.

I protested yesterday. I wore my Chicago Bears hat. There were a group of aggressive pro-trump agitators. I decided to engage by asking them how do you think the Bears will do Monday Night? This led to a calm discussion with one of them about football then democracy. We shook hands at end.

I get that the stat is hitting 2 home runs off 2 separate hall of famers, but one of the greatest performances ever was Ryne Sandburg hitting 2 run home off hall of famer Bruce Suttor to tie game in 9th, then hitting another hr off Suttor in 10th.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Very nuanced. Very informative.

Excellent protest today. I was closer to the main intersection. All ages, non stop chanting, cheering, and cars honking. No let up from beginning to end (2 1/2 hours). High energy.

Really powerful tribute. Thank you for that.

How about this - Jake Tapper contributes all proceeds from the book to Joe Biden's cancer charity.

Not a chance. Every single week is Tesla Protest week. Musk is a grifter.

You are welcome. I think that the two women organizing the new Orlando 147th & Rt 45 protests have combined forces. I think they were two of the original Tesla Orlando Park organizers. I'm sure they would welcome any assistance in getting the word out and helping with the upcoming two events.

I also went to 2-3 at Tesla Orlando Park until they stopped. I now drive to Tesla Lisle as they hold weekly protests and have a solid group.

Great job organizing! I was in Brookfield and we had amazing turnout. Fun day. Lots of honking.

Lifelong learning includes putting yourself in situations in which you challenge yourself. I have learned a lot from weekly protesting. I have done a lot of observing. Not only have I learned from others, I have learned more about myself and my convictions. Protesting is where it begins.

Thank you! I subscribe to Atlantic and highly recommend it. I also protest for Democracy every week. I highly recommend that too.

Wow. This hits the nail on the head. Yesterday there were so many different protestors with so many many different signs/messages but what ties everyone together is captured in your post. To left of me is a veteran, to the right of me is someone protesting LGBTQ rights and I'm there for both.

For every one of us there are 1000+ that feel the same but haven't yet joined the protests. They will come we just need to keep it up.

I looked to my right today. A 40ish couple. His sign "I did not serve my country for this". Hers " No kings in America". I thanked him for his service. Seeing more and more younger people coming out. Today you could literally hear horns honking along the 4 blocks for a solid hour without break.

I went to the weekly protest in front of Tesla in Lisle, IL. Normally 200-300 protestors. This week there close to 1000 protestors lining both side of street stretching 4 blocks. I talked to a couple of ladies who quoted this article as their call to action. Whatever it takes. Every week. Join in

Depends on perspective. Did every parent run out and lobotomize their children in 1941 ? No. Was Joe Kennedy's decision to lobotomize his child made because of how the child's behavior made Joe feel about himself ? I don't know. I do know a former heroin addict should not set public policy.
