CSS is so much better today than it was just a few years ago. The only thing that bothers me now days is how to keep up-to-date with all the new features. Around 2010 it was easier to grasp but lacked so much of the nice things we have today.

I tend to put them in `@layer globals`, after `@layer reset`.

I've done exactly the same thing as you and the funny thing is that my default branch is the same as yours (solid). :)
