Why are we all so surprised all the time? We elected a criminal as our president. This is all a logical outcome of the election. Criminals will surround themselves with other criminals. If only the voters knew that, before they casted their vote. 😢

Well, there is some room for caution. Apparently it is possible to hack someone’s Signal account via phishing and leveraging the device linking feature. If Russian-linked hackers can do it, any government can also. People just need to be careful using the app.

Apple Photos are not end-to-end encrypted by default. Photos are encrypted in transit and at rest but Apple holds the encryption keys and can access them if they wanted to.
But with Advanced Data Protection enabled, Apple Photos become end-to-end encrypted and then Apple can not access your photos

Yes, thats why it was so important to defeat the EU’s Chat Control proposal attempt to mandate client-side scanning of encrypted messages for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), effectively weakening end-to-end encryption by requiring platforms to scan content before it is encrypted.
