Abigail's Party (1977). One of those movies I want to show all my friends, even though they'll look at me with question mark faces. Kinda proves you don't need stunning cinematography to make an excellent movie. Just have a perfect script with perfect performances, then shoot it like it's Frasier...

IT’S TRUE the regular Tesla drivers had no problem with their vehicles up until fall of last year. Prior to that they were willfully ignorant or unable to use a search engine, which is more likely than you think

every single "why I'm not on board with a Tesla boycott" piece is just an aging white dude being like "but I really liked the paper-thin mythology around Elon, and I'm simply not ready to adjust to the factual reality underlying it, despite the fact that it's been plain for all to see for years now"

Exciting phone call with my mom this week. Instead of discussing the state of the world, we talked about recently dead celebrities

Best Case Scenario: Musk is blown away in front of a mass audience, then Twitter fails from the top up, so all the fascists relocate to the Metaverse, which we allow because hopefully there’s an off switch like in the Matrix (I never cared for that movie, can I be honest?)

Age gap relationships? Old news. Dead in the water. What we really need to discuss is oedipal desire within relationships, to which most of us are not immune, I am so sorry

It would be great if bands stopped playing at the Forest Hills Stadium because the sciatic nerve issues aren’t worth the price of admission

once a coworker told us about her bf’s inability to watch a movie without gunfire or explosions, then another coworker admitted she and her family scroll Insta or YouTube if a movie is a little boring. even in the theatre. I should have vomited, I felt so damaged

fantastic. each story told like a myth passed down for generations. McCullers doesn’t hide behind her characters with POV and instead is the narrator, giving us insight into how she viewed her world. last story is the best of the bunch 👍👍
