What is the latest update on our understanding of the Walker Lane plate kinematics?

Not sure if they want to do this, but any sample collected should include at least 1 fresh face. 22oz RH should do that. Otherwise... thin section.

They should be playing rugby instead and learn how to tackle.

I was laughing the entire movie. Nobody wanted to listen to the nerd geologist about how hilarious this all was. Haven't watched it since.

This was my parish as a kid. It was at the forefront of progressive thinking back in the 80s, even conducting same sex marriage before being legal in the state. Closest to practicing what you preach. Made me realize the hypocrisy of most evangelical churches and even Catholicism at a young age.

Hate to break it to you, but that is why you get him a PC.

So he didn't violate training and use-of-force policy once, but twice? Is this willful/gross negligence? And wouldn't this implicate the leadership? Would the family have legal justification for civil action for the gross negligence?

Monitoring for grading adjacent to structures. But not IN the structure.

Well, they could always apply to MIT or Harvey Mudd.

This is Caltech we are talking about. They are receiving over 13,000 applicants for around 300 spots. UCLA had 145k applicants for 13k spots. Super Competitive!

Uh, that makes me think you found a pit-john.

Maybe some sections do not have that history of 7+ events? The intersection with San Jacinto FZ is a little funky. Our understanding of the stresses regionally, in my opinion, have a long way to go. Interesting to note the 500yr lull for the Santa Cruz section.

Balancing rocks trace history of 'jumping' earthquakes
Scientists solve the riddle of why precariously balanced rocks near the San Andreas fault have never been toppled by earthquakes - revealing crucial interactions between faultlines.

Regardless of the gerrymander, there is still the possibility they loose those seats anyway. What I haven't seen is a statistical breakdown of what it would take, voter wise.

It is definitely a booming market in the US as well. Sierra Nevada has Trail Pass N/A along with others like Lagunitas, Atheletic and Bero. They are all decent brews, with my preference for the Trail Pass series. It is only going to get more competetive.

As a CEG (Geotech) in CA, there are not enough Eng Geologists in the profession for the amount of work out there. The big concern ATM is that the current Nat. policies are going to gut that work due to crashing the economy.

When you've learned about the Tulsa Massacre, this is not surprising.

Maybe the City of New York needs to do street improvements in front of the facility. Tear up sidewalks, utilities, pavement, etc...

Either STFU or be honest that they are KKK Chucklefucks. They only thing they have to hold on to is their own incompetence.
September 14, 2025 at 11:09 PM
The KKK was still a thing in the 80s. Anyone remember David Duke? They never went away, just rebranded. What about the Crack Epidemic started by the Reagan Admin to fund the wars in Central Am? Jesus, I could go on...
September 12, 2025 at 10:18 PM
When do we call out these right wing politicians for what they are? Why aren't our Democrat politicians doing this now? The KKK is obviously control of our Congress, Supreme Court and White House and the violence they incite is the point. Call a duck a duck. It's time to get in their face.
September 10, 2025 at 11:56 PM
The violence is the point. The violence allows control. It would not surprise me if the assassination was right wing, because the violence that could result is the point. They want to tear it all down and rebuild it in their effed up KKK ideal.
September 10, 2025 at 11:56 PM
As a book-end Gen-X, I remember the KKK. The original right wing. They never disappeared. They just rebranded. They went underground to continue to teach their hate until their false messiah made his appearance. They don't play by the rules and never have.
September 10, 2025 at 11:56 PM
The person that took a pop-shot a Trump was right-wing. The point was political violence. J6 was political violence. ICE is a paramilitary force whose point of existence is political violence. But what is the root of this?
