At the dawn of Trump 1 I was teaching at a directional regional school in the deep south and had this sort of Ross Douthat-type local kid who transfered back after two years at an east coast liberal college; I saw him realize his massive mistake over the course of the semester.

It's been up a long time but found a 2 hour audio interview of him from 1987; he mentions how he has friends send him copies of NFL on NBC broadcasts; imagining him being into Merlin Olsen's winding narratives; he also praises the lighting and editing in Michelob ads; so cool

The only thing I have found useful with Google Lens is that I am finally playing an old TurboGrafx RPG I read about in an Electronic Gaming Monthly in 1992. I will probably try it again with a Playstation 2 RPG that came out in 2005.

I have a very narrow, grim "optimism" that we won't see a massive AI bailout; these guys will eat other much more quickly than the previous generation--Sacks said this a couple weeks ago; they were offing each other during the SVB crisis too.

The patriotic appeal angle mostly is reflective of NextGen and "high brow" press praise ahead of launch--a focus on an American company taking on Sony, Sega, and Nintendo--and my experience in retail; was definitely the middle-aged guy console
