I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.
I'm out on a limb with this one, and that's cool with me. Would probably say some more about cringey lyrics and tone down some of the praise if I wasn't in such a rush, but Taylor made a solid 7 out of 10 course-correction album with a bunch of great songs. That's how I feel.
On her 12th studio album, the world’s biggest popstar sings about a transformative love – but this navel-gazing work says little about the realities of life in 2025 www.dazeddigital.com/music/articl...
Alternative Number Ones on "Hand In My Pocket," the silly but lovable song that presented a much more representative look at Alanis Morissette than "You Oughta Know."
Number Ones on Taylor Swift's pivot to Dessner-assisted NPR-folk and on "Cardigan," which isn't her best song but which worked just fine as a new-direction announcement.
Forgot to mention the CMT Crossroads with Def Leppard and the fact that one of the albums Fearless beat for the Grammy was the Dave Matthews Bands's Big Whiskey And The GrooGrux King. Will try to do better next time.
