News is now reporting that two "detainees" were killed. Unclear whether that means people who were actively being transported or whether that means it was people going to the ICE Field Office for a check-in who got shot going into the building.

Dozens of Russian deportees have been loaded twice onto mass deportation flights, a new phenomenon during the Trump administration. The Department of Homeland Security said it was saving taxpayer dollars by “efficiently flying illegal aliens to their home country on large flights.”

ICE Air ran an excruciatingly long 50-hour deportation flight on Sept. 11-12, stopping at Guantanamo Bay before deporting people to Mauritania, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, DRC, & Guinea. The plane also stopped in Senegal on the way there and back—likely for fuel—and in Ghana again on the return.

After multiple flights per day in the first four weeks of August, removal flights to Mexico stopped on August 28th- the first hiatus after consistent flights to Mexico since January 2024. Since then, it appears that all deportations are taking place at the land border.
