It could have been that I couldn't settle on a windows tiling manager.

I'll be looking into network administration and media management when I get more time.

I'd like to start with setting up a desktop environment for web development, scripting and administration. I've tried Ubuntu and Linux Mint but always ended up drifting back to Windows as it is the OS I'm most familiar with. Linux hasn't clicked for me for some reason.

Can you suggest any other resources that might be helpful when getting started?
