Fair, but they didn't update the clock during the Cuban missile crisis & determined that certain trends arising from it reduced risk.
Also:
i. overall catastrophe risk is heightened when multiple dyads have a danger of nuclear war
ii. other existential risks factor in (climatic, technological, etc)
