My point is that these parts have complex dynamics. They can even have error introduced via the measurement/power mode chosen.
Hammering away in high perf mode gives you chunks of fairly significant current that needs to be dissipated eventually Thermals are everything with these.

Speaking of thermal coupling. I guess there is AC on, and a vent blowing at the EPD board, probably with a reasonable groundplane acting as heatsink? If the sensor thinks it's sensing a *gas* temp that has that temp difference, well.. the calculated equivalent CO2 output is gas temp dependent, yeah?

Forgot I had a load of serial output left in, slowing things down a bit.
Seems smoother with it off anyway. Haven't actually timed it, but certainly looks better.

So I haven't actually seen this bad apple thing yet, or at least until now.
But it looks pretty good on a memory pixel LCD, streaming out of the flash of an ESP32-S3!

Aw shoot. So looks like this display is borked. It got shipped with the FPC folded around the padding foam, rather than flat. I can get a picture if I tap the die bonded drivers *just right* - but it's definitely pretty dodgy!
But - wasn't the code at least!

Hm. Certainly not a Banksy itself, but in the style of. The tag is a good indicator, along with the stencil bleed.
Lot of this stencil around Hamburg.

It's 5.79"?
792 x 292px, this one is B/W, but there are b/w/r and b/w/r/y versions also.

Had the same idea a little while back - it does seem to help a huge amount!

Ok so i've not seen breaking bad, so I might be missing a reference...? This one is far out even for AliExpress!

Very cool!
Have done similar experiments in streaming a capture window to some of the Akai controllers 🙂

I found one *inside* that handheld XRF I got off eBay the other day.
Thankfully, not triggered!
Love these things.

Stick it on a pallet.
It's absolutely worth it.
If not, at least bung a couple of shockwatch labels on it, visibly.
These things are pretty good in my experience.

That said, when signing off a Google mail with the Google keyboard, on my Google Android phone, all using the Google account I've had for nearly 20 years...
All this "AI" effort seems so wasted when we could all benefit from such lower hanging fruit.

Can't quite see, is it nRF?
Trying to decide if this was forked from an e-scooter design, or if the e-scooter companies just forked from this sort of existing layout.
This one is a telemetry / remote control pack from a Voi (lime?) rent-a-scooter.
Certainly "similar" in form and layout...

It's always worth putting the time in on the CAD for things like display panels - checking the FPC as it is curved for the given board thickness!
Can locate the board connector to ensure that there isn't excessive curvature of the fixed length of the flex.

These neat little bar format LCD panels are a bit on the small side, but given they are selling for about a quid a pc for 76x284px...
Well, it'd be rude not to whip up a little breakout.
Dropped on a Waveshare ESP32/RP2350 Tiny module footprint - for now...
