I think it, more than any other, really recognizes the importance of the NPC questlines to adding to that dark souls feel. It's a much more important element to the overall game design than most people realize. It makes the world much more colorful and makes your progress really tangible.

Archer is pretty beginner friendly at first. its rotation gets pretty complicated by the later levels but it's a good starting job. highly recommend Arcanist as a starter as well. It's pretty easy all the way to the level cap and it also lets you unlock a Healer class that levels alongside it.

Just finished 4 and I am shocked the series seems to have just...vanished immediately after one of the coolest RPGs ive ever played

oh hey i played this one this year. i thought it was pretty good. the visuals are excellent and it has a lot of fun movement abilities. be warned, idk if its an issue in the ps5 version, but go into the settings and manually set the game to 60fps or it might crash during cutscenes.

the game awards were worse than normal. almost no new announcements that i was super excited for. the awards were fun this time, if only to see how bad expedition 33 wiped the floor with everything else.
