Did you buy a plastic ORCA card, or did you just buy the paper tickets? ORCA cards can be pre-loaded with a value and you tap them at the yellow card readers and the fare is deducted from the card. The paper tickets are just receipts that proved you paid and you don’t tap. Just show them if asked.
