Yesterday’s Newquay Championships marked the end of a memorable gig rowing season. A great 2nd place in our first round race, followed by a hard-fought 4th in the quarter finals. Ready for some time away from the boat, but so proud to have rowed with this brilliant young (annoyingly young!) crew.

Yesterday’s Newquay Championships marked the end of a memorable gig rowing season. A great 2nd place in our first round race, followed by a hard-fought 4th in the quarter finals. Ready for some time away from the boat, but so proud to have rowed with this brilliant young (annoyingly young!) crew.

Yeah it can be a bit hairy! I do enjoy it though - that’s why I row these things rather than flat river boats. This video is from one of our races at the Scillies World Champs this year. One of the Looe crews actually found a fish on board at the end of the race! Brutally tough, but brilliant.
