I’m just spitballing here, but I think we need boredom with other people. Quiet moments of nothingness. My mind screams in agony at the thought because I also feel the fear of such silence.

And dopamine machines, Skinner boxes, and social media (I repeat myself) are good at hiding the fear.

"Other people" is the answer I come back to, again and again, but connecting with others is risky and intense. And hard because we all have finite time, energy, and resources.

Still reeling from the time one of them wanted to add threading instead of a second function call / file check to an existent while loop. What’s life with just one while loop? Maybe I’m not good at prompting. Who knows?

Instead of "very fast, very accurate mistakes," it now seems just… fast.

What would I do without being able to open another tab while I wait for the first one to load? And then a third when that one doesn’t load fast enough?

A great reminder for me to not trust it with data that hasn’t been backed up.

Also so grateful StackOverflow still exists. Even if search engines are still struggling with web content.
