I don’t know if the performance difference is so great, but imho axios make a lot of things easier too work with. Throwing automatic errors if status is abnormal etc, easier json handling and much more. Using fetch usually ends up in either creating a wrapper or using ky for instance.

It’s pretty well known that the built-in fetch is not the most performant. I still prefer axios, but if you need fetch use undici

Yes and no, please consider swr swr.vercel.app as a more pluggable alternative. Tanstack query is great but a mix of confusing use cases

SWR is a React Hooks library for data fetching. SWR first returns the data from cache (stale), then sends the fetch request (revalidate), and finally comes with the up-to-date data again.

Impossible, the shift of .net core needed to happen and also I rather appreciate Microsoft in where it is now. GitHub, copilot no longer in the os business
