Years ago, I was talking to a writer friend of mine and telling him that I was done with all the creative stuff, and I wasn't going to do it anymore. He smiled, “yea, see how that works out for you”
And, of course, I got sucked back in.
I think magick has the same sort of grip on me.

I think practices are much more sustainable when you can see a qualitative benefit from doing them. So of the practices that take years before you see any benefit are next to impossible for me to sustain or be motivated about.

But, still doesn't answer the question of how then you choose your practices? Success is thy proof, but how do you know which of all the paths out there (that don't resonate with you) is the one that will get you where you want to go? All of them are saying they are the correct way.

And I describe the upward spiral movement that I travel through on my spiritual path. And I also talk about why “magick” itself may be the thing that is holding me back.

Yea, I feel that too, but my kinda gut response then is: what's the point of us then? Just to witness rather than take part? Why have proclivities and dreams if all that matters i s what the divine wants?
(but as usual, just because I don't like the idea, doesn't mean it isn't true)
