Moby Dick is also a good example too. Most people think “it’s too long and boring and confusing” but when you dive in, it’s all poetry. Most adaptations of Moby Dick remove the voice completely and make it into an action revenge plot and that misses the point entirely.

This is my feelings about recent rumblings in the indie comics scene… happily I am too old and unimportant to be a part of all that nonsense
