I started my year with rereading The Bear and the Nightingale ❤️
I started the trilogy years ago but never read the last book, so one of my new year resolutions was to finally read all of it.

This story broke me in the best way possible. Lovable main character (with the tendency to poison people), an amazing chaotic power couple, a cute but devastatingly sad slow burn love story...
Can't wait for book 2. I'll think about this story for quiet a while.

That was a really cozy read though not as christmassy as I hoped. Some short stories resonated a lot with me, some I found a little bit boring but everyone has a different taste, right?

Whenever I read one of my fanfic chapters or other texts I can always exactly say when I was having fun while writing and when I struggled. I don't think other people can recognize it but I can. The sentences just feel different somehow.
