Spurs guard Stanley Umude isn’t about to undersell it. He’s absolutely thrilled to be playing for his hometown team.

In addition to Castle (knee), the Spurs will also be without Fox (hamstring), Harper (thumb), McLaughlin (hamstring), Sochan (calf), Olynyk (heel) and Vassell (healthy scratch). Vassell is expected to play at Miami on Wednesday, though.

Stephon Castle is day to day and out for tonight’s preseason opener with a bruised knee after his collision with Wembanyama in Saturday night’s scrimmage. Nothing serious, just a precaution, the Spurs say.
