In the end, this production involved a team of over five people, countless friendships made along the way, months of pre-production, 6 hours of sleep across 48 hours of festival, and months of editing and approvals from artist agencies. But it was a three-year-long chess game that we finally won.

Because remember one thing : the aftermovie is now a highlight that people eagerly await. So I spent a month putting together a director treatment.

2024: As we put together a team, we finally got the deal for the official aftermovie. But I wasn’t going to keep things basic: a 10-minute video, designed to set a new standard in the local industry and immerse the audience in a visual experience beyond anything they’d seen in previous years.

2023: I finally scored access as a videographer to film one of the artists. I also decided to shoot the entire festival myself, which allowed me to release my own unofficial aftermovie. It reached 30k views and made an unbeatable impression on the festival staff & organizers.

So, as we couldn't access the venue with professional cameras, I made a video on my iPhone and posted it as a reel 48 hours after the festival. It hit 15k views and caught the eye of a few key people.

2022: New year, new strategy. I decided to buy a 3-day pass with one clear goal: make contacts for 2023. I spent the entire weekend handing out business cards all over the festival grounds, only to be met with “oh, we don’t know who’s in charge of that.”

In 2021, while studying abroad in Porto, I came across an ad for a festival that had been bringing top electronic music artists for years. Naturally, I messaged them on every possible platform to try to secure access. The only reply? A "seen" on our conversations, big fail. But fine, game was on.

Context: Producing the aftermovie for an EDM festival has always been a childhood dream. Like many, I grew up during EDM’s golden age from 2010 to 2015, captivated by the legendary aftermovies of Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland, much to my parents' (and they regretted giving me a sound system)
