My father-in-law, retired Marine Gunney, had one drink a year on the Marine Birthday. A double shot of Jack. It was a testament to his discipline- stopping drinking too much, decades before. He could have that one shot and stay clean.
I love and respect him and mourn his passing. He was the man.
