Being a fan of an artist who is on the right side of history is not a political act that helps the right side of history prevail. It's usually the opposite, because being a fan requires sending money to your oppressors, who always reinvest that money in building tighter manacles for you.

The FBI has essentially always been led by a Republican, even when Democrats made the appointments. Here's a chart I made of every single day of the FBI's existence. That tiny blue spot was a temporary appointment.
