Cascades Park in Tallahassee. This BMW X5 plug-in hybrid was the only vehicle hooked up Sunday afternoon. Level II ChargePoint at .09 cents per kWh. Not bad…but the 48-volt lithium-ion battery is estimated to take five hours to charge at that rate.

It can’t be that bad, can it? Maybe it’s the shame mobile. Screw up at work and now you’ve got to drive the shame mobile on Front Beach Road. Except…it’s a rare bird and it’s got too much character.

This has my attention. Anyone who’s battled carb fouled two-stroke ICE blowers knows my pain. All-electric makes great sense here. Sales guy said he gets 45 minutes run time out of Stihl’s BGA 45. Does the model # equate to run time?! Investigation continues!

I’ve had Hulu for years and this morning marked the first time an interactive ad popped up moments after turning it on. A new Nissan commercial soon played before reverting back to the screen below. Pretty cool. Curious as to how effective the campaign will be.
