What a night, what a performance from this far from 100% team, one of the great European nights at the Emirates.

Declan Rice has produced two of the greatest free kicks you'll ever see at this level, and we 100% deserved that third goal too.

Incredible. This team deserves so much love. #arsenal

I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

“This country must be assured of complete control of broadcasting from Canadian sources, free from foreign interference or influence. I can’t think that any government would be warranted in leaving the air to private exploitation and not reserving it for development for the use of the people.”

Did you know the CBC was started by a Conservative?

In 1935, faced with the growing dominance of American media within Canada (sound familiar?) then Conservative Prime Minister R. B. Bennett, announced the creation of the CBC. He declared:

“We will show the United States we are not an appendage.”

Ontario universities are cut to the bone. They're being financially strangled by the Ford government, via a merciless, stupid tuition freeze and the lowest per student funding in Canada, ever. If this gov't is re-elected, one of the best uni systems in the world is dead.
Just received another update from our University Provost on the budget crisis. It includes what I believe is the first explicit statement that there will be some real big job cuts over the next three years. No specifics yet.
