Those are the pearls that were his eyes.
I decided to finally read it a few years ago, having avoided it for decades because I thought it was a romance. I love having my expectations demolished like that. It helps that I have a taste for black comedy, and this steers pretty close to that.

I don't know, I think you've used up any chance at winning the lottery. I suppose it could be evidence that you are exquisitely in tune with GNR, though.

They made a third season? Thats disappointing.

Heh, I just threw this name out as a joke in our texts.

As my brother just pointed out to me, it could be that he was just getting what McDermott wanted. But the order of firings here seems inverted.

Mine is probably John Waters's Desperate Living. The distance between where it starts and where it ends is unmatched by anything else I've seen.

I also read it as a young teen (in the 80's). The idea the ancients couldn't do these things really annoyed me then, even without identifying its racist roots.

I'd take 38-3 like Indiana vs. Alabama.

My first NFL game was there in the early 80's (Joe Ferguson!) against the Pats. I don't even remember who won, but I do remember the whole stadium laughing when an official got leveled by a player accidentally.

The best part was getting Josh out after one snap.

My brother is there. He said the red helmets are getting him all emotional.
