BUT all it does is align all objects to a grid, it doesn't actually move objects to the top. You have to manually drag items to the top and then use the clean up function. (yes I know there are other views, I imagine I can probably set those as default, but still)

- when you create something in finder, it just "stays there", as in the pixel offset location of the e.g. dragged file is maintained... therefore it's possible to miss files if the window is resized too small. There is a "clean up" option in the ... menu, BUT [see 6]

- I didn't realize how often I click something in the taskbar to look at it, only to click it again to minimize -> clicking the same app twice in the dock does not minimize it, causing brain to break out from its loop trying to figure out what did I have in focus previously

- I don't miss the start menu etc that much, but what I do DEEPLY miss is dragging files onto the taskbar icon and having that app pop up as a drag target
- there is no right click -> open in X action..., I also use this infinite times a day

- the caps lock key is longer than it should be, therefore 90% of the time instead of typing A I type whatever comes after that capitalized
- it's 2026 and it's still impossible to switch between 2 windows of the same application via only the mouse, I had to install a 3rd party app

I’m not advocating for theft, but I am advocating for preservation and public access to knowledge.

Screw AI companies or whatever, but I will die on the hill that Anna’s Archive is a net positive.

Donald Tusk put it well. "Right now, 500 million Europeans are begging 300 million Americans for protection from 140 million Russians who have been unable to overcome 50 million Ukrainians for three years."
