So, nobody questioned Biden’s mental health. Got it.

Maybe he’s a defense criminal and didn’t think it sounded cool enough?

Seems he’s got the memo.

Breaking news: Government officials said they are increasingly concerned that the Trump administration intends to scapegoat the military officer who directed U.S. forces to kill survivors of a targeted strike on suspected drug smugglers in Latin America.
Hegseth, with White House help, tries to distance himself from boat strike fallout
As Congress vows accountability, the Trump administration emphasized it was a top military commander — not the defense secretary — who directed the engagement.

I don’t really think there’s much of a need to engage with those takes. Whoever utters them just opts out of polite society and should never be taken seriously again. I’m sure those people are big fans of accountability when it comes to other people.

Y’all have low bars for 12 year olds.

I mean, let's not be hasty. I trust this means that what I put in my tax return is first amendment protected speech, and I can't be prosecuted for my sincerely held believe I deserve a refund of a billion dollars, right?

I feel relieved that the MPD is now shadowing the Guard’s illegal deployment. Nothing makes me feel safer than the police overseeing that armed thugs crime correctly.

Do we know if this was a time when America was great? Just asking for somebody who purports to care about those things.

I mistrust AI and religion for the same reason: both may be useful in niche applications but overall are pushed on society despite clear evidence of harm if applied dogmatically.

Was able to predict the type of coda with 90% accuracy - cool, so we found out that whales have department meetings.

Fuck yeah. I’m not even particularly left, but if Mamdani can help reduce the insane handouts we give to car culture (free infrastructure, land use, uncompensated health damage from pollution and noise), he’s my personal hero.

AI would be overkill. A 5 line python script with a 2000 word dictionary of corporate bullshit would probably get you something unbelievable for spitting out sentences that are excessively coherent.

Probably the same I’m doing now. It’d be tempting to quit my job and finish my PHD that I had to drop because of my job, but the money’s good and the job’s interesting. Maybe I’d do it once the kids are out of the house and retirement sorted (not sure I’d trust UBI enough not to).

What a bunch of absolute ignoramuses. Just the sub hed: peace through economic integration is what the EU was created for. If Europe has an issue here it’s not the economic bit.

Wait, are we still talking about Hitler?
November 29, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Well, same was true for Germany.
November 28, 2025 at 8:50 PM
We’re having a solid 70 year run shitting on what’s now the great grandchildren of 1940s Germany. Maybe we should take more than 70 days to absolve ourselves from the fascist government we, as a people, voted into office.
