I get it. I loved the way he played like he knew how fortunate he was to be playing professional baseball.
I also very much appreciated that he never did anything cringe (a la Kershaw) despite his religious beliefs.

I think it was the fact that Semien’s contract is 2 years shorter and he’s a good defender now.

Probably. Also likely means the end Pf McNeil as a Met (though they’ll have to pay a chunk of his salary for anyone decent in return)

He did a good job as Fletch and with his charm and comedic skills, I could easily see him being Jim Rockford. Given the success of ‘Poker Face’ there’s no reason this wouldn’t work.
