The Eldritch horror that is Mr. Blobby has invaded my nightmares more than anything H.P. Lovecraft could ever imagine. Why did the UK do this?

Waiting patiently on the Win/Lin versions. And hopefully someday Android.

Why the actual fuck do we not have single payer at this point...

Oh. Yeah. The GOP.

This is really an indictment of the insurance industry more than anything else. Insuring two people (two!) costs $25k/year in America? Plus they have to shell out thousands in copays, deductibles and high out-of-pocket maximums if they use it? I can't imagine other countries paying that much.

Not sure on that; I know there is zero telemetry and all "AI" options are at least off by default, as I see no LLM nonsense in my daily life.

Switched to LibreWolf a while back. OG FireFox has been dead for a while.

Then you have to come back with "I hope you have a merry Christmas and happy holidays!" And pray she doesn't bring up the New Year or then you're going on to a blast of an MLK day...

If everyone stopped buying from Amazon, the world would be a better place.

I get audio, physical and ebook in my favorite authors top books because each format has it's own value to me.

I'm sure he will go far in today's GOP.

Everyone would be better off if we just had CatGPT... it would tell us to leave it alone unless it wants scritches or food.

Interesting! I didn't know that area was acidic -- honestly, I thought they were *all* fairly high pH.

I keep holding out hope for Another Scalzi Christmas.

Is that Haukadalur? The OG Geysir?
December 9, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Hey, we have this in common... that was my morning and it wasn't fun.
December 8, 2025 at 8:07 PM
Would reposting this be hypocritical of me? As a subscriber I support... uh oh...
December 8, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Okay, so my 9 year old really loves your writing but he really hates K-Pop Demon Hunters. I think if he knew how much you love it, it could change his mind...

My bottleneck of fast storage is more important to me right now than memory -- 96 gb in my laptop is plenty -- but 8 TB nvme in it is an issue, as is the 20 TB SSDs in my working NAS. The prices for (fast) storage are also skyrocketing, and I don't remember that happening in the last 35 years...

No kidding! I felt that cartoon was perfect for the time because it did promote strength and physicality in the form of those badass girls, and the world needed more of that (still does). Oh, and, Mojo Jojo was one of my favorite all-time villains.
December 5, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Mojo Jojo would be so disappointed with them! Does Cartoon Network still play Powerpuff Girls?
December 5, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Wait, are you saying people are calling the cartoon Powderpuff Girls? 😂😂😂
December 5, 2025 at 3:53 PM
I remember in high school here in Michigan, that there were powderpuff football games. I dunno if that's still a thing, that was nearly 20 years ago...

I totally agree; I am a subscriber as well. I am okay paying a few bucks a month to not be the product.
