The unfortunate thing is all the rhetoric being pushed on both sides dehumanizes people. Instead of a human being/mother, people see left or right wing 'scum,' 'lunatics' or whatever image they create in their mind. They're seen as the enemy. Much like being in a war.

We should tone it down some.
