Why not Tidal?
Works fine for me since I dropped Spotify … and pays artists better than the others.
I‘m using offline very often with Tidal.

Well … the issue is that I‘ll unlearn to use my Linux laptop! 😂

I‘ve done that for my external keyboard, so that it’s the same as the Mac built-in.
The problem is with remapping only some things work equally as on non Mac.
I can either „fix“ alt-tab OR copy&paste …

Problem:
The Mac is job only … privately I want to keep using a regular laptop with Linux.

Question:
Do ppl. use the right cmd key for copy/paste then? The left one seems very unergonomic …

Maybe I should contribute for functional (ish) languages.
I‘m mostly using functions in Go so I only need functions as mocks, often anonymous f.

😂
I love it!
Even works for Go (not class based) with tiny adaptations!

The pm baked in + the powerful std lib …

I did more than 15 years of PHP, which I still have warm feelings towards.

But I never had to fight dependency issues in Go and spent many hours with that back in my PHP days.

😂

Guess it depends on what types of applications it’s used for. But I had exactly zero of the issues he rants about.

I‘m missing real immutability, some functional features (might change when generics are extended) and then some bits.

I find VOs quite straight forward.
With „value receiver“ methods the methods can’t modify the „object“.
For sure, Go still does not have real immutability. Inside the same package everything can modify everything. But I don’t consider this a big issue.

One more friends link … this is not yet on Substack

Domain-Driven Design vs. “Functional Core, Imperative Shell”
Sometimes different paradigms are forces that pull our code in different directions. I’ll try to describe such a situation with concerns…

Oh, wait …

That’s the latest articles I already ported to Substack. 🤣

I need some vacation …

Ah, wait, I can DM you some friends links for Medium.

Will try to do once my kids let me. 😅

Meanwhile … what open questions do you have for VOs?

I‘ll port that to Substack (free) eventually.
Do you happen to have a Medium membership?
I did quite some blog posts covering #DDDesign with #Golang

Disclaimer: I might have changed my opinions on some aspects since then.
