Tony officially opened the doors to our museum in 2009. Even after he stepped down as our MP, he continued to be very supportive of our work and would visit us regularly. "I'm just stopping for an hour..." Three hours later, he'd still be chatting away to visitors and volunteers.

Last night’s event saw heartfelt tributes from family, friends, colleagues and former constituents, plus speeches from the Mayors of Manchester, Trafford & Rochdale—Cllrs Paul Andrews, Amy Whyte & Shakil Ahmed—honouring his lasting impact on the region.
