The Pacers played a game against another team. Pacers-Wolves stuff: Starters good, style good, very up and down from some reserves. Plus, what was different? And... oh boy, the point guard injuries.

Anyway end rant about people doing their jobs very well.

It was odd to me how many people said “ESPN didn’t want this kind of stuff??” regarding Torre when Baxter Holmes has been doing it, and well, for a while. They want it and have it. I think that reaction speaks to the presentation/delivery/consumption of PTFO, more than anything.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Pablo Torre is obviously crushing it purely in the investigative reporter aspect of his job. I do not think he’s gotten enough credit for his presentation and, specifically, finding a way to bring topics of that nature to the modern age with how people now consume information.

Rick Carlisle postgame: "Tough, hard-fought game. I liked a lot of things. The fourth quarter went haywire, but those guys did a great job hanging in. And so, it's a good win."

Enrique Freeman misses from deep at the buzzer. Pacers win their OT opener 135-134. They blow a 20+-point lead but hold on in the extra period to start 1-0 in the exhibitions.

Starters looked good, led by Siakam's 14. McConnell and Wright injuries loom.

An overtime preseason challenge. What's the opposite of euphoria?
tonyreast.bsky.social
Tie game with 61 seconds left as Jarace Walker heads to the foul line. The Pacers, back to playing dramatic games.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Enrique Freeman fouls RayJ Dennis in the first-ever Boom on Boom crime.
tonyreast.bsky.social
T-Wolves off at the buzzer and this game is going to overtime.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Wolves erase a 24-point deficit and tie the game. They have the ball with 12 seconds to go. Overtime in preseason on the horizon?
tonyreast.bsky.social
Pacers appear have a good crew of two-ways this year.
tonyreast.bsky.social
RayJ Dennis has found his range to give the Pacers a comfortable lead again. 4:44 to go and they're up 9, Dennis has 11 points.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Johnny Juzang the early MVP favorite.
tonyreast.bsky.social
It was 93-74 Pacers at one point. Now 95-93. This unit not doing well on either end.
tonyreast.bsky.social
14-0 run from the Wolves to cut the Pacers lead to 7. It was 8 at halftime.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Pacers 95, Wolves 82 after three quarters. Pacers lead was at one point over 20 in that frame. Their young wings were solid. Siakam still the leading scorer (14).
tonyreast.bsky.social
Tristen Newton in for the Wolves. Both teams playing some deep reserves to close this third quarter.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Taelon Peter, Jonhhy Furphy, and Jarace Walker all having nice quarters.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Johnny Furphy with an emphatic dunk. About time, haven't seen one from him in... a few days.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Huff is/was second unit, Bradley mixed in after 3 fouls from I Jackson in less than 3 mins.
tonyreast.bsky.social
It's actually 4/4. Too much trust in the boradcast there.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Pacers are 5/5 in the third quarter so far. 14-0 run just like that and they're up more than 20.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Delon Wright is done for the night with a head injury.
tonyreast.bsky.social
Now Delon Wright bloody in the face. Jaylen Clark got him good. Kam Jones out, McConnell hurt earlier. Haliburton, obviously. Point guard's falling.
