I think we're actually at the least bad phase of AI right now. Very very soon we are going to tip from "making it work and getting people to use it phase" to "okay time to make money because it cost a trillion dollars" phase and it is going to be all ads and ideological moderation

In the past, our business and entertainment barons had to at least make products consistently that were appealing. But now that we let tech run everything, there is more of a Hansel and gretel approach: They simply have to make it appealing once and then trap you and eat you

Here are some smaller policies I would do:
Ban all digital gambling
Require any text, image, song, video generated by AI to have watermarks
Very strong restrictions on the size, speed, weight of vehicles esp pickup trucks and SUVs
Eliminate 90% of plastic from CPG

This is an anti-human way to think. This is beyond untenable and the best case scenario here is running out the clock in a cave sitting on a pile of money as the world burns around you. Apocalyptic avarice and stupidity

Why do they do this. Why do they need to share the first barest flickers of basic cognition like it's a novel concept. I cannot believe the world is being rebuilt by these people who assume we're even less capable of recognizing things like "learning" "practice" and "eating broccoli" than they are

Look I'm all for luddite takes these days but they make robots human shaped because our world where robots theoretically would work - tools, machines, spaces - is human shaped

One thing I've been thinking about is all the politicians who dont represent me, the business guys who make all the worst decisions for me as a consumer, the 'artists' who make things that do not appeal to me-they all underestimate me, my abilities, my compassion, my intelligence, my everything

The people who think AI can replace YOU think that because AI could very easily replace them (posting on LinkedIn and pointing at big numbers on a chart). They can't imagine a job harder than theirs, which mostly consists of thinking and talking generally about Business
