I didn’t watch much of it and only heard about the technical issues, Christmas Day with two NFL games and half time shows will be the real challenge and show what they can do and if they can handle the World Cup as well as it deserves, also how they handle those dead space moments in between plays

That’s a valid question too, I’d be interested to see the exact figure Netflix have paid for the rights and how much they’ll have to try and make back. There is potential for an Amazon style of having some adverts during the event.

The established fans can cancel but it’s more casual audiences that’s my concern, Netflix will need to massively amp up advertising of the World Cup otherwise a lot of casual fans miss out and that harms the growth of the game

I really hope this works out because these next two world cups should be bigger than ever but locking it behind Netflix makes me nervous for viewing figures based on the Apple/MLS deal
