At some point, the scientific community (holistically) needs to come together and fight for the general health of the public - if scientifically justified - and, only then, fight for its own interests. When science mostly benefits the corporations, elites, and universities, it loses public’s trust.

In that letter, it would have been nice if they asked the congress why the richest country that ever existed has ranked at/near the bottom on ALL social-metrics in the Western world, and at times globally, in the past 40+ years (of data) consistently. Is it because US sold its public’s health?
