what I love about this golden shell unearthed in Romania is that it shows how in 800CE people in this region had detailed knowledge of nautilus, an animal that lives almost 10,000 kilometers away in the warm waters of southeast Asia 🧪
A perfectly made golden nautilus, with a few dints and bumps but otherwise in amazing condition.
