Be ashamed to die, before you have done something good for mankind.
The AMA changes the rules and now you are hypertensive, have to see a doctor and take medications.

The APA doubles the number of recognized mental disorders and now you need mental health and antidepressants.

The cost of healthcare keeps doubling.

See the pattern?

If you eliminate all design patterns from your code, and substitute them for inline code, your app will have half the lines of code and will run twice as fast. And I have trouble believing that it will be more difficult to maintain.

As software developers, we don't do things because they are easy, we do them because we thought they were going to be easy.

"I was once like you are now and I know that it's not easy
To be calm when you've found something going on
But take your time, think a lot
Think of everything you've got
For you will still be here tomorrow but your dreams may not" -- Cat Stevens

He has denied the damage he made. Soon he will be angry. If he has a friend left, he or she should help him reach acceptance.

Don't waste your time.

* Kotlin for Android
* Swift for iOS
* JavaScript or TypeScript for Web

Avoid cross platform tools like the plague!

Funny, Trump just capitulated!

He lost the tariff war with China in less than 100 days. Way to make China great again.

At I/O 2025 Google users will see:

1) Material 3, which will forever be an Android ONLY UI design system.

2) Android XR, will take at least 10 years to become popular.

3) Gemini, which already I consider superior to copilot and ChatGPT.

If Google could totally remove Java from Android 👍 😍

Why is is that the best way to learn #Swift is to read a book from someone that is trying to learn #Swift by poorly writing a very expensive and useless book?

Never in human history was so much owed by so many to so few!

Bye bye middle class!
"Copilot Studio will create AI agents that can automate data entry, perform market research, or even process invoices. This new tool will even detect when buttons and screens change in apps or websites and continue working without failing or breaking"

Donal Trump is a hero to many because he unilaterally moved the goalpost of how incompetent one can be and still keep the job.

This has encouraged millions of red necks from the midwest.

They are no longer terribly ashamed!

I have an issue with globalization. My issue is that it dissolves culture.

For instance: did you know that Saudi Arabia imports camels from Australia? How authentic do the Saudis look after that?

The world used to have flavor. Now it is just a race to the bottom. The lowest common denominator.

Fools claim car manufacturing decline in the US is due to outsourcing coinciding with the introduction of automation in car manufacturing.

Without outsourcing, the USA would have introduced robots in manufacturing. Outsourcing allowed countries without ANY manufacturing (like Mexico) to compete.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

It takes many millions of dollars and more than a couple of years to build a manufacturing facility, hire and train people. Companies aren’t going to even consider it if the tariffs might suddenly be lifted at Trump’s whim or in a later Democratic administration.

We learn programming with imperative languages. Then we have trouble adapting to declarative programming. Specially because so much is hidden. Declarative examples give you the false idea that everything is easy. We need to reach one level up: specification languages. Just specify the requirements.

Compared to a native option #flutter is:
1) 2x as slow
2) 2x as big
3) Useless for web
4) Has NO direct access to ANY native features
5) A mess for state management
6) Has ridiculous widget, element and render threes
7) Forces unnecessary architectural complexity to palliate 6
8) Component Hell

Emotional Intelligence, an oxymoron created by a journalist has gained traction in spite of the fact that a requirement to become a manager is total disregard for employee feelings and emotions. The world is divided into whips and asses.

Don't get whipped.
March 20, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Emotional intelligence is a made up concept. Intelligence and emotion are opposites. Don't confuse it with "agreeableness" or "empathy". It was invented by a journalist without any scientific training. Like "friendly fire" it is an oxymoron. Check things before you accept them. Or they'll own you

Chat GPT just steals images from the web. Test it: 1) Show a guy writing with his left hand (will show right hand) 2) Image of three watches showing 12 o’clock (will show 10 to 10). They can't fix this with "reinforcement training" because LMM are statistical.

Don't pay for stolen data.
