Mail day today, with the other half of Magus Bride in back order (since I couldn't get Symphogear for the same reason)
Finally read V5 of this, which the anime was faithful too, even if production wise it struggled a little bit. These are short volumes in general, but think it might have been basically 1.5 episodes of the anime.
The omake at the end was both really cute about the zoo date, and depressing.

#Egatae Takizawa is such a good mentor. She knew that this spinoff was both what Nashida needed at this time to grow, and what Futami did not need at this time to grow as well, as she continues on with her own manga.

#Egatae Takizawa has gotten Nashida to work so hard she can't drink, so that's a good thing, but also nice that the others are offering to help get this spinoff manga done as well.

#Egatae Takizawa knows that there is a shallowness to Nashida's writing, and knows the only way to get that is with lived experiences, so time for Nashida to go out on a (work) date with her crush Toko.

#Egatae There is probably more to it than she thinks, and I would assume Nashida is talented, but definitely went into the romance genre very shallowly.

#Egatae This also feels like of rude to Sato, assuming she has so much free time at work as to be able to have a new meeting right away, but at least Nekonote can call and try to set up a new meeting, to go over her storyboards at least, then get feedback on where to go next.

#Egatae When factoring in Sato's personality...that was one awkward first in person meeting lol. Though this is also on Futami as her mentor. She should have prepared Nekonote on what to do in these meetings, as someone who has gone through this process in the past.
