END OF AN ERA

My retail lease at 527 Gladstone Ave. is coming to an end and I'll be bidding adieu to Centretown.

I will continue to sell to retail shops, restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. I'll be a weekly vendor at the Farmers Market. You can buy directly from our kitchen. And of course online.

I sliced oranges this morning for a forthcoming batch of Whiskey Orange Marmalade. It's sweet and tangy with thick cut candied peel, accented with Bushmills Irish Whiskey. #Marmalade

Blackberry Rhubarb Jam - a simple combination of fruit with loads of sweet and tart flavour, and a subtle floral aroma. My love of rhubarb has found its way into many of my jams and preserves, and this flavour has been popular at farmers markets. #Rhubarb

Pickled Beets are an old family recipe. I've been reflecting on my maternal grandmother "Nanny" who inspired me to make my own preserves. I'll be sharing some of those thoughts as her first heavenly birthday approaches next month.

Some foods just evoke so much nostalgia, memory and emotion.

The layers of sweet & sour flavour are stimulating on the palate. With a balance suiting modern tastes for fruit forward preserves. A luxurious natural set made with no added pectin.

It's all done in stainless steel now. The copper pans sure are pretty though.
