Don’t know when, but I reckon they did because it is so fucking difficult to find the ° on a keyboard. (It could however also be an educational issue. I suspect they were at some point told not to write “degrees Fahrenheit” and gave up altogether.)

Thanks, non-DNS worked just fine. Shame my hosting provider wants to charge extra for subdomain SSL, so I had to stick with the domain name.
