Current republicans seem to focus on gaining followers by telling lies that make an excuse for us to give into our most base fears and run after our most greedy desires. I can’t wait until we see real republicans again.

I have to admit, ever since visiting Pompeii, I wondered if there was a link between crazy Roman emperors and the lead pipes I saw at the end of the aqueduct.

The federal government should not be paying for any news organization that favors a specific ideology. I have no interest in paying taxes so I can be brainwashed by either the left, the right, or the middle.

How do you categorize fascists that join the movement/party for access to that power or due to fear, not necessarily believing in the ideology. Core fascists always seem to be around. I also have trouble with the selfish folks who join for personal gain alone.

Reminds me of Little League, same thing. I always thought it strange that an 11 year old would need a paid batting and/or pitching coach. I just wanted them to have fun, and experience what it is like to play on a team.

Strange to see this, years ago as a pre teen, I shook Nixon’s hand there while he met with then governor Ford. So does Whitmer take Trump’s place in a few years?

Also, since tariffs are a regressive tax, robber barons (oligarchs) held what wealth there was.

Salesmanship is one thing, but so many people seem to want to be lied to rather than risk considering someone outside their tribe may be worth listening to. I appreciated hearing Ford’s thoughts about Jimmy Carter during the recent funeral.

Sounds to me like Trump wants to attack 2 NATO countries, Canada and Denmark, as well as Panama. Not sure what his plans are for Mexico. I can only hope some empowered part of our government stops him. I hope those who voted Trump see what’s happening.
