I think that without knowing more about the dynamics in their relationship, it’s hard to suggest she simply leave. We wouldn’t say that to any other woman stuck in a toxic, abusive relationship. I think the focus needs to remain squarely on him, and not the marriage he is in.

Genuinely curious what you expect she could do as a woman married to the same monster that fragrantly endorses he doesn’t respect women, view violations of their human rights as any sort of crime, and has a history of sexual violence.

Absolutely fed up with this notion of “passion” that’s slowly creeping back into discussions of men’s violence, as well as police responses to it. Someone assaulting a woman and citing “passion” should not be a ‘get out of a jail free’ card. But it’s treated like one.
