The USDA website (and others presumably), makes it an official govt statement that the Dems have refused to vote for SNAP. There hasn't been a standalone vote on continuing funding for SNAP. Nothing prevents Republicans from scheduling a vote on a bill that Democrats have proposed, but they won't.

Here's Imp. He, or a sibling, turned on the kitchen faucet last night, and the water was running I don't know how long. Fortunately, in climbing onto the windowsill, the culprit kicked the faucet onto the cold setting and the stopper was not in the sink.

This is Sprite. She was born in May, and should be five months old by the end of September. I didn't know how I was going to catch her before she matures to the dangerous age, but the weather surprised her with "cold", and she came inside voluntarily, along with her brother Pixie.

Shot thru the screen so as not to disturb them, since they're all pretty feral. Feral Bob (his proper name) is over 10 yrs old and has survived plenty of fights, and fathered dozens of kittens, no doubt. This year he's keeping a guard over his family.

This is either Sprite or Pixie. They both have a dark tabby pattern, and may both be girls. The other two are Elf and Imp, one mostly black coat, and one black and white, and these two may be boys. They're about 8 weeks old and their mother Bertina hasn't completely weaned them.
