The Tory plan is to… undo what the Tories did in government:
“reducing civil service headcount back to 2016 levels… and saving money spent on housing asylum seekers in hotels, which began under the last Tory government.” www.ft.com/content/974e...

Meanwhile Nigel Farage:
- has talked about taking up a rifle/knife
- courted Elon Musk who is calling for violence on our streets
- lionised someone who admitted to inciting racial hatred and violence
- refused to condemn violent riots last summer

This is a total lie repeatedly unchallenged on media

The only reference to “arms” in the PM’s speech?

“the wind fARMs of South Wales.”

This outburst by Tice should have more publicity. He made up a quote from Starmer’s speech, saying the PM had called on people to ‘take up arms’ against Reform.

Who’s actually been inciting violence on Britain’s streets? The same man who Farage chased for £s: Elon Musk

Nigel Farage of course seems to have been very happy to do his pro-Russian propaganda for free

👇 We've just won something massive.

After months of campaigning, we've secured £20m of long-term funding for Swansea through UK Gov’s Pride in Place fund.

Such naked denials of the Palestinian people’s right to statehood show why the UK and several allies’ recognition of a Palestinian state is so important - force has slowed but it cannot be allowed to permanently deny a path to a two state solution

Yes thousands turned out - which is far more than I’d like - but that is dwarfed by the millions that understand real patriotism means loving your country as it actually is, not hating its diversity or trying to exploit its challenges. That’s what our flags actually represent

Police have called for calm after officers were attacked as around 110,000 people joined Tommy Robinson‘s “Unite the Kingdom” rally in central London trib.al/I5OI7Ln

Thanks to everyone who turned up to the latest of my regular coffee mornings today. It was great to speak to so many from the local community, including councillor Fiona Gordon and Police and Community Support Officers.

These Tory MPs are going to be furious when they find out who was in power when employment in offshore oil and gas HALVED between 2014 and 2023. The Conservatives are doubling down on being a cheap Reform tribute act rather than a serious party

Utter garbage. She was a prisoner, nothing political about it. Reasonable people can disagree on any given sentence but the facts are clear:
- she incited serious violence
- PM did exactly nothing
- she went to jail because of what SHE did: committing a crime + pleading guilty

And Nigel Farage isn’t going to get away with pretending he has an answer by calling for a repeat of the Tory chaos, with added performative cruelty about returning people to Afghanistan on top.

The people that created this problem are not going to get away with rewriting history.

There’s a reason today’s would be Tory populist plonkers were boasting back then about opening asylum hotel after asylum hotel
torstenbell.bsky.social
So Nigel Farage’s ‘new’ plan is in fact… Rishi Sunak’s old plan - which was exactly what caused the explosion in use of asylum hotels in the first place.
